Mikme is a wireless recording microphone that captures the audio at the push of a button. It is equipped with a gold-plated condenser capsule. They have launched an indiegogo campaign with the goal of pledging $25,000 USD.
We can start recording using its built-in audio recorder and the recorded music can be sent to the Mikme mobile app via Bluetooth.
“Mikme isn’t for everyone. But it could be incredibly useful to musicians who want to record their work on the go, or for journalists and podcasters who need something more capable than their iPhone’s microphone. Right now we’re just hearing recordings from prototype Mikme hardware,” engadget reported.
It is available in three styles and four colors. We can record on the go with Mikme within the leather bag with integrated windscreen and block unwanted wind noise. It can automatically be upgraded to 16GB of onboard storage, instead of the standard 8GB. This will give you up to 360 hours of MP4 audio (instead of 180), or up to 32 hours of raw WAV audio (instead of 16). There will not be any extra costs for this upgrade.
It works wirelessly with our smartphone, tablet or computer by streaming audio securely and immediately while recording. It also works standalone with it’s builtin digital 8GB audio recorder (24 bit, up to 96kHz).
The built-in-audio recorder helps us to record up to 180 hours of audio. Also its built-in flash drive will store up to 180 hours or raw audio (24 bit, up to 96 kHz).
Mikme Mobile App can create, edit, mix and share the audio using the latest Bluetooth technology.
The iOS version of the Mikme app is already available free at the Apple App store. Mikme said Android version of the its apps will be available in December.
The Mikme app helps to get crystal clear studio-quality sound wirelessly from the Mikme Microphone. The app with the patent pending ‘Lost & Found’ protocol will make sure that video and audio are in perfect sync.
