According to the South Africa Presidency, Former South Africa president Nelson Mandela is still in hospital.
The BBC and other news outlets reported earlier that Mr Mandela had returned to his Johannesburg home.
The South Africa presidency said in a statement that Mr Mandela was critical but stable but at times his condition became unstable prompting medical intervention.
The Presidency has noted incorrect media reports that former President Nelson Mandela has been discharged from hospital. Madiba is still in hospital in Pretoria, and remains in a critical but stable condition. At times his condition becomes unstable, but he responds to medical interventions.
The 95-year-old was admitted with a recurring lung infection on 8 June.
Mr Mandela celebrated his 95th birthday in hospital on July 18 and was showered with tributes from around the world.
The country’s first black president, Mr Mandela is revered by many as the father of the nation, and his life is inspiration to the people.
